3. Liners or freestanding pots?

  • Liners are made to fit directly into our Signature Square planters, which must be purchased separately. We will swap the liners each season and leave the Signature Square!
  • Freestanding pots are dropped off to be displayed as-is. They are matte black, recycled plastic and look great at most entryways.

4. Place your order!

All orders have a 10-14 day lead time. This window allows us the necessary time to source your plants directly from the farm, plant them, and give them a few days to grow in and flush out. We could condense this timeline, but we refuse to compromise on quality!

5. Get seasonal swaps!

We will notify you when it's time to select your arrangement for the upcoming seasonal swap! This prompt allows you to pick your preferred design and guarantees you a place on our delivery schedule.

Will my planter look exactly like the photos?

While our product photos showcase the color palette and style you can expect, please note that each planter is uniquely crafted. We hand-select the finest, healthiest, and most robust plants directly from the farm on a daily basis to ensure exceptional quality. This means your planter will closely resemble the images, but due to our commitment to using the freshest and best plants, it won't be an exact replica. This intentional approach allows us to consistently deliver superior products tailored to your order.

How do i care for it?

Worried about having a "black thumb"? You're not alone! What if my plants don't survive?

We're committed to providing you with healthy plants and the guidance you need for your planter to flourish. As living organisms, plants need regular watering, which is why we can't guarantee their survival. However, rest assured that upon delivery all our planters are thoroughly watered to give you a head start. Should you notice any issues or a struggling plant during the season, just drop us an email. Our plant specialists are here to assist you and will promptly provide expert guidance to help your plants thrive. Your success is our priority.

How do i decide between sun or shade arrangements?

Deciding between sun and shade arrangements is easier than you think! Our general rule of thumb is that sun arrangements thrive with +4 hours of direct sunlight daily, while shade arrangements prefer <4 hours of direct sun. Simply observe your chosen location throughout the day to estimate sunlight hours. Rest assured, we avoid overly sensitive or fussy plants, which allows for a little wiggle room on sun/shade conditions.

Am i locked into a contract?

Absolutely not! At BloomSwap, we believe in flexibility. You'll receive a convenient text or email notification when it's time to prebook your next seasonal planter. Prebooking secures your desired design and a spot on our delivery schedule. Whether you want to add some color by the pool in the summer or skip a season due to travel, we're here to accommodate your needs.

How do i pick the right size for my home?

Here's a pro tip: our large, Signature Square planters with liners provide remarkable impact at a more affordable price point due to their impressive height!

As a general rule, we recommend opting for a few larger arrangements rather than clustering smaller ones. Larger planters tend to create a more impactful visual statement. For instance, our typical customer often selects two 20" round pots or two 18" tall square pots for their front door.

Do you offer returns or exchanges?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns or exchanges given that our planters are both perishable and made-to-order. We encourage you to measure your space using a tape measure and consider the sun/shade conditions before selecting a planter.

Can you plant in pots i already own?

BloomSwap specializes in preplanted containers and liners. At this time, we do not offer custom, on-site plantings in existing containers or window boxes.

Our sister brand, Enliven Planters, offers this service to their clients in the Philadelphia metro area. If you currently live outside Enliven's service area, check back in the future as they continue to expand into other geographies.

Do you install irrigation?

Currently, we do not install irrigation systems. However, if you're interested in setting up a simple and effective drip irrigation system, it's an easy DIY project. You can find drip irrigation kits at popular retailers such as Amazon, Lowes, or Home Depot. Drip irrigation can be helpful for those who travel often.... or forget to water often :)

While the majority of our clients do just fine hand watering their arrangements, we're more than happy to offer guidance if you decide to install a system. Our team can provide advice on configuring the timer settings based on your container's size and the specific sun/shade conditions of your chosen location.
